Get your free estimateGarage Door Before & After in West Palm Beach, FL
Most garage door companies tell you they do good work. We’d rather show you. The projects below are representative of what our techs see and fix across West Palm Beach, from South End rust to Northwood creaks and everything between. The captions describe the actual job: what the door looked like when we arrived, what we found underneath, and how it worked after we left. No stock photos of doors that aren’t ours. No exaggerated claims. Just the kind of before-and-after notes Aaron keeps on every job he runs.

Torsion Spring Replacement on a 2007 Clopay in Flamingo Park
Before
AfterThe homeowner called because the door wouldn’t budge past about three feet. What we found: a torsion spring, the large coil mounted above the door that does most of the lifting, snapped clean in two after 16 years of daily cycles. We replaced both springs rather than just the broken one, because on a door that age the other spring is right behind it. The door lifts with one hand now and doesn’t sound like a gunshot when it cycles. Written price before we touched a bolt, written guarantee on the repair, and the whole job took about an hour.
Full Door Replacement for a Rusted Wayne Dalton in South End
Before
AfterSalt air does a number on metal doors in South End. This Wayne Dalton had rust through the bottom two panels and a track so pitted the rollers kept jumping out. There’s no repairing rust that far gone, so we measured for a full replacement and installed a new Amarr door rated for coastal conditions. New track, new rollers, new bottom seal to keep the afternoon rain and the palmetto bugs out. The door is quieter than the air handler in their laundry room.
Garage Door Opener Gear Replacement in Northwood
Before
AfterThe opener would hum like it was trying, but the door wouldn’t go anywhere. That’s the gear inside the LiftMaster unit, stripped after years of use. We replaced the gear assembly rather than selling a whole new opener, because the motor still had plenty of life in it. The customer saved a few hundred dollars and the opener has been running without complaint since. We carry gear assemblies for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie openers on the truck.
Off-Track Door with Bent Panel on a Lake Worth Road Home

Someone backed into this door. Not hard enough to destroy it, but enough to shove the top panel off the track and tangle the cables around the drum. Safety note on this one: the cables on a garage door are under high tension and can cause serious injury if they snap while someone’s fiddling with them. We got the door back on track, straightened the panel so it seals properly, and re-spooled the cables. Door operates like it did before the bumper met it.
Noisy, Rattling Door on an Older Home in Old Northwood

The owner said the door sounded “like a dump truck in a wind tunnel” every time it opened. That’s worn metal rollers grinding against old track, plus hinges that had never been touched since the door was installed probably around 2004. We swapped in nylon rollers with sealed bearings and replaced the hinge set, then tightened and lubricated everything. It’s not silent, because no garage door is silent, but you can now open the door at 6am without the neighbors knowing.
Broken Cable on a Commercial-Style Door in a Warehouse off Belvedere

This one was a commercial-sized door on a warehouse, but the same cable system you’d find on a residential door, just bigger and heavier. A cable snapped on one side and the door hung at a nasty angle supporting most of its weight on the remaining cable and a prayer. We released the tension, replaced both cables, and rebalanced the door. The owner was back to loading trucks the same morning. On a door that size, you don’t guess at it. You replace the set and make sure it’s right.
